RSS Feeds Τι ειναι;

Τι είναι το RSS; 

RSS σημαίνει "Really Simple Syndication". Είναι ένας τρόπος για την εύκολη διανομή πληροφοριών από ένα site, χωρίς να χρειάζεται ο χρήστης να επισκέπτεται το site για να αναζητήσει τις πληροφορίες που θέλει.

Η τεχνολογία του RSS Feed χρησιμοποιείται συχνά από προγράμματα ηλεκτρονικών υπολογιστών που οργανώνουν τα πρωτοσέλιδα και τις ανακοινώσεις για εύκολη ανάγνωση.

Πως μας βοηθά το RSS; 

Παλιά για να παρακολουθήσετε τις ενημερώσεις ενος site θα έπρεπε να κάνετε Bookmark την σελίδα που σας ενδιέφερε και να επισκέπτεστε το site σε τακτική βάση για να δείτε τι έχει προστεθεί. Η τεχνολογία RSS Feed σας επιτρέπει να ενημερώνεστε άμεσα για όλα τα νέα θέματα ενός site που έχετε επιλέξει χωρίς να χρειάζεται να επισκεφθείτε το site. Μόλις δημοσιευθεί κάποιο νέο θέμα, ο υπολογιστής σας, μέσω κάποιου ειδικού προγράμματος RSS ή στο email σας (με outlook express) ή στον browser σας φέρνει στην οθόνη σας τον τίτλο και την περίληψη, καθώς και το σύνδεσμο, ώστε, αν θέλετε, να διαβάσετε ολόκληρο το θέμα.

Πως χρησιμοποιώ το RSS;

Για να λαμβάνετε RSS feed για κάποιο site θα πρέπει να εγκαταστήσετε κάποιο από τα ειδικά προγράμματα RSS Reader ή να ενεργοποιήσετε τη σχετική λειτουργία του web browser σας (π.χ. Internet Explorer, Outlook Express,  Firefox, Safari, Opera) ή να χρησιμοποιήσετε κάποια από τα προγράμματα RSS Reader που λειτουργούν μέσω web.

Ύστερα επιλέγετε τις κατηγορίες του site για τις οποίες θέλετε ενημέρωση μέσω RSS. Προκειμένου να λαμβάνετε RSS feed με τα θέματα της συγκεκριμένης κατηγορίας, θα πρέπει να αντιγράψετε το σύνδεσμο στον οποίον οδηγεί το εικονίδιο (που εμφανίζεται δίπλα στο URL) και να τον επικολλήσετε στα feed του προγράμματος RSS Reader που έχετε εγκαταστήσει στον υπολογιστή σας ή στο web browser σας.
