Υποστήριξη για 24 πυρήνες στο νέο mobo της Asus

Η Asus ανακοίνωσε την επικείμενη κυκλοφορία ενός νέου mobo που είναι συμβατό με τους 8πύρηνους και 12πύρηνους επεξεργαστές Opteron της AMD. Το KGPE-D16 είναι εξοπλισμένο με δύο sockets G34, τα οποία μπορούν να φιλοξενήσουν τους νέους επεξεργαστές της AMD που βασίζονται στην αρχιτεκτονική Magny-Cours. Έτσι, στην περίπτωση των δύο 12πύρηνων επεξεργαστών το τελικό αποτέλεσμα είναι 24 φυσικοί πυρήνες.
Το mobo περιλαμβάνει το πρότυπο SR5690/SP5100 της AMD και συνοδεύεται από οκτώ DDR3 memory slots (4-channel) για κάθε επεξεργαστή. Διαθέτει επίσης τέσσερα PCI-Express x16 slots, 14 SATA ports, τρεις Ethernet connectors και D-Sub output.
Δεν έχουν ανακοινωθεί ακόμη η τιμή και η διαθεσιμότητα του νέου προϊόντος της Asus.
