Καθαρίστε τα Cookies

Τα internet cookies είναι ένα κομμάτι ‘κειμένου’, μιας πληροφορίας, που ένας server τα αποθηκεύει στον σκληρό δίσκο του υπολογιστή ενός χρήστη. Τότε ο browser τα στέλνει αναλλοίωτα πίσω στον server κάθε φορά που τον επισκέπτεται.



Χρησιμοποιούνται συχνά και κάνουν την πλοήγηση μας στο internet πιο εύκολη. Για παράδειγμα βοηθάνε στο να αποθηκευτούν τα στοιχεία μας όταν κάνουμε Log in σε κάποια σελίδα ή όταν ψωνίζουμε σε online καταστήματα και κρατάμε τις αγορές μας σε καλάθι αγορών. Επίσης χρησιμοποιούνται για καλύτερη στόχευση των διαφημίσεων. Αν για παράδειγμα ενδιαφέρεσαι πιο πολύ για βιβλία αντί για DVD θα είναι πιο πιθανό να σου εμφανίζονται διαφημίσεις για βιβλία.


Υπάρχουν όμως φορές που η συγκέντρωση αυτών των στοιχείων μπορούν είτε απο αμέλεια είτε επίτηδες να χρησιμοποιηθούν απο τρίτους για κέρδος πουλώντας τα σε τρίτους όπως εταιρειες telemarketing για παράδειγμα ή για αποστολή junk mail.

Πως μπορούμε να προστατευτούμε; Αρχικά προσέχουμε που δίνουμε τα προσωπικά μας στοιχεία. Οι Browser δίνουν την δυνατότητα να επιλέγεις αν θα χρησιμοποιείς cookies ή οχι και δίνουν την επιλογή να τα διαγράψεις.

Προκειμένου να διαγράψετε τα cookies, κάνετε τα εξής:

1)Στον Internet Explorer επιλέξτε
Εργαλεία > Επιλογές Internet > Γενικά. 
Στα Προσωρινά αρχεία Internet (Tools>Internet options > General > Temporary Internet files) πατήστε Διαγραφή αρχείων (Delete Files) και Διαγραφή Cookies (Delete cookies) και στο Ιστορικό (History) πατήστε Καθαρισμός Ιστορικού (Clear History).

2)Στο Mozilla Firefox επιλέξτε 
Εργαλεία > Επιλογές έπειτα στην φόρμα πού εμφανίζεται επιλέξτε την καρτέλα Απόρρητο, στην συνέχεια κάντε κλικ στην επιλογή "να απομακρύνετε συγκεκριμένα cookies" και στη νέα φόρμα που θα εμφανιστεί πατήστε το κουμπί "Απομάκρυνση όλων των cookies".

3)Στο Google Chrome, 
κάντε κλικ στο εικονίδιο με το κλειδί και επιλέξτε "Εργαλεία" > "Εκκαθάριση δεδομένων περιήγησης". Στη νέα σελίδα που θα ανοίξει κάντε κλικ μόνο στην επιλογή "Διαγραφή των cookie και άλλων δεδομένων ιστοτόπου και προσθηκών" και πατήστε το κουμπί "Εκκαθάριση δεδομένων περιήγησης".
