Σε μια προφανή αντίδραση για το Megaupload κλείνει και το Filesonic;

Oι συλλήψεις τεσσάρων στελεχών του megaupload.com την περασμένη εβδομάδα και το κλείσιμο του site φαίνεται πως έπιασαν τόπο.

Διότι το πολύ δημοφιλές site FileSonic.com ανακοίνωσε πριν λίγες ώρες ότι σταματά το file sharing.

Στην αρχική του σελίδα το site αναφέρει ότι πλέον μόνο ο χρήστης που ανεβάζει κάποιο αρχείο θα μπορεί στο εξής να έχει πρόσβαση σε αυτό!



 Σε μια προφανή αντίδραση στην κατάσχεση των περιουσιακών στοιχείων του Megaupload από υπουργείο δικαιοσύνης των ΗΠΑ, το FileSonic έχει απενεργοποιήσει την υπηρεσία διαμοίρασης αρχείων από τον ιστότοπο του. Το site πρόσφερε υπηρεσίες φιλοξενίας και διαμοίρασης αρχείων παρόμοια με αυτή του μόλις αποθανών Megaupload, αλλά η αρχική σελίδα του πλέον γράφει "Όλες οι λειτουργίες κοινής χρήσης έχουν απενεργοποιηθεί. Η υπηρεσία μας μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί μόνο για το ανέβασμα και την ανάκτηση αρχείων που έχετε προσωπικά ανεβάσει". Πέρα από αυτό, το Filesonic παρέμεινε σιωπηλό στο θέμα, με το επίσημο blog και ο λογαριασμός το Twitter της εταιρίας να μην κάνει καμία αναφορά για την αλλαγή.

Σύμφωνα με το TorrentFreak, το FileSonic είναι μεταξύ των δέκα πρώτων site διαμοίρασης αρχείων στο διαδίκτυο, εξυπηρετώντας πάνω από 250 εκατομμύρια page views κάθε μήνα. Όπως και το Megaupload, o ιστότοπος τουλάχιστον έκανε κάποιες κινήσεις για τον περιορισμό της παραβίασης των πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων. Ο τομέας "Στον Τύπο" εξακολουθεί και διατυμπανίζει τη συνεργασία με την εταιρία ανάλυσης περιεχομένου Vobile, που υπογράφτηκε τον Δεκέμβριο. Η συνεργασία είχε σκοπό να κρατήσει μακρυά περιεχόμενα πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων από τους χρήστες, αλλά δεν είναι σαφές αν το FileSonic είχε θέσει σε λειτουργία την τεχνολογία της Vobile. Στον απόηχο των κατασχέσεων του Megaupload, η εταιρία ίσως περιορίστηκε σε μια πιο δραστική λύση.

Σε παρόμοια κίνηση, το Uploader.to έχει μπλοκάρει τους χρήστες των ΗΠΑ, καλωσορίζοντας τους στην αρχική σελίδα με τον χαιρετισμό "Η υπηρεσία μας δεν είναι διαθέσιμη προς το παρόν στην χώρα σας. Μας συγχωρείτε γι αυτό". Επίσης δεν έχει αναφέρει τίποτα για τους λόγους που προέβη σε αυτή την ενέργεια.
