Red Faction: Origins

Η ανακοίνωση έρχεται από την THQ (εκδότρια εταιρεία για το παιχνίδι) και το αμερικανικό τηλεοπτικό δίκτυο SyFy (που θα προβάλει την ταινία). Το Red Faction: Origins, δίωρη ταινία τύπου ‘πιλότος’, θα προβληθεί τον Μάρτιο του 2011. Αν πάει καλά και πετύχει καλά νούμερα, κατά πάσα πιθανότητα θα ακολουθήσει κινηματογραφική παραγωγή ή, το πιο λογικό, να ξεκινήσει τηλεοπτική σειρά.

Η ιστορία της ταινίας βασίζεται στη νουβέλα του Paul DeMeo που έχει γράψει τα Rocketeer, Flash, Viper, Sentinel και έχει να κάνει με τον Jake (τον γιό του Alec Mason) που ψάχνει τη χαμένη του αδελφή (θύμα απαγωγής) ενώ παράλληλα αποζητά εκδίκηση για τον φόνο της μητέρας του. Συνηθισμένα, καθημερινά πράγματα δηλαδή. Τη μεταφορά της ιστορίας σε τηλεοπτικό σενάριο έκανε ο Andrew Kreisber, που θα ξέρετε σίγουρα από Fringe και Vampire Diaries. Χρονολογικά, η ιστορία τοποθετείται 25 χρόνια μετά τα γεγονότα του Red Faction: Guerilla και πριν από το Red Faction: Armageddon.
