Η ταινία των Όσκαρ κινείται νομικά κατά των πειρατών

Με μηνύσεις και αγωγές προτίθεται να απαντήσει η παραγωγός εταιρεία της πολυβραβευμένης ταινίας The Hurt Locker κατά των χρηστών του διαδικτύου, που, μέσω του file sharing, παραβιάζουν τα δικαιώματα πνευματικής ιδιοκτησίας της επί του έργου.

Ήδη, πάροχοι υπηρεσιών διαδικτύου έχουν εντοπίσει πέντε χιλιάδες συνδέσεις που ενεπλέχθησαν στην παράνομη ανταλλαγή του επίμαχου αρχείου στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Η εταιρεία Voltage Pictures αναζητεί τρόπο να αποκτήσει πρόσβαση στα ονόματά τους προκειμένου να κινηθεί νομικά εναντίον τους. Με ανακοίνωσή της, η εταιρεία επισημαίνει ότι η πειρατεία έχει ζημιώσει σημαντικά τη βιομηχανία του θεάματος στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες και επισημαίνει ότι η πρόοδος της τεχνολογίας, δυστυχώς, καθιστά ολοένα και ευκολότερη την παράνομη πρόσβαση σε αρχεία που προστατεύονται από τις διατάξεις περί πνευματικής ιδιοκτησίας.

Σχολιάζοντας την κίνηση αυτή, της Voltage Pictures, εκπροσωπος του The Pirate Bay, σουηδικού site που εξυπηρετεί την πειρατεία, αντιτείνει ότι το file sharing έχει αποδεδειγμένα βοηθήσει στο να διαδοθούν ταινίες και μουσική, αυξάνοντας την αξία τους, μέσω της αναγνώρισης από το κοινό και δηλώνει ότι «το να μηνυεις ανθρώπους επειδή θαυμάζουν το έργο σου είναι απλώς χαζό».
