Η Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη Κάνει Ντεμπούτο Στα Η.Ε



Όταν ένα ρομπότ σας λέει ότι η ΤΝ(Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη) πρόκειται να σας βοηθήσει να σώσετε τον κόσμο, πρέπει να αναρωτηθείτε για το αν μεροληπτεί.

Αυτό συνέβη σε μια ημερήσια εκδήλωση στο ΟΗΕ με τίτλο "Το Μέλλον των πάντων: αειφόρος ανάπτυξη στην εποχή της ταχείας τεχνολογικής αλλαγής".

Η Αναπληρωτής Γενική Γραμματέας των Ηνωμένων Εθνών, Amina J. Mohammed, ζήτησε από ένα ρομπότ με το όνομα Σοφία τι μπορεί να γίνει για την έλλειψη πρόσβασης σε τεχνολογία σε πολλές περιοχές του κόσμου. Η Σοφία, η οποία κατασκευάστηκε από την Hanson Robotics, απάντησε αναφέροντας μια διάσημη γραμμή από τον William Gibson ότι η ΤΝ θα μπορούσε να βοηθήσει να βελτιώσει τις ανισότητες πρόσβασης βρίσκοντας τρόπους για τη διανομή πόρων ευρύτερα.

Η Σοφία έχει δημιουργήσει αίσθηση στα μέσα μαζικής ενημέρωσης. Μετά την εμφάνισή της στο Tonight Show του Jimmy Fallon και την παροχή πολυάριθμων συνεντεύξεων σε διάφορες εκπομπές. Μάλιστα κόσμησε και το εξώφυλλο της Elle Brazil.

Σχεδιασμένο για να ωθήσει τα όρια της κοινωνικής ρομποτικής, το ρομπότ ήταν μια κατάλληλη προσθήκη σε μια εκδήλωση του ΟΗΕ που αποσκοπούσε να καταδείξει ορισμένες από τις δυνατότητες και τις παγίδες που υπάρχουν σε τεχνολογίες όπως η τεχνητή νοημοσύνη και τα μεγάλα δεδομένα.


Στην εναρκτήρια ομιλία της, η Mohammed προειδοποίησε ότι εάν η τεχνολογική πρόοδος δεν αντιμετωπιστεί σωστά, υπάρχει κίνδυνος να επιδεινωθούν οι υφιστάμενες ανισότητες.
«Η επιρροή της τεχνολογίας στις κοινωνίες μας πρέπει να καθορίζεται από τις ενέργειες ανθρώπων και όχι μηχανών», είπε. "Η τεχνολογία είναι εδώ για να εξερευνήσουμε και να την χρησιμοποιήσουμε προς όφελος όλων".
